Covid-19: Lagos State Govt to take Full Cost of Health Care

The Lagos state government has announced that all medical services rendered by all Lagos State-owned secondary healthcare facilities during the period of the lockdown would be paid for by the state government.

This was announced Yesterday, the 4th of April, 2020 by the State Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu as part of the state effort to lessen the burden of Lagosians.

What does this Mean?

This means that ALL Emergency cases, ALL Casualty cases, ALL Maternity cases, ALL Lab tests, ALL operations and surgeries, ALL labour and deliveries, For the Month of April, 2020; in Lagos State; WILL BE DONE FOR FREE in all 27 General Hospitals across the state.

Lagos State has the highest number of Coronavirus cases in Nigeria, with over a hundred cases, with 24 recoveries (the highest also in Nigeria) and one death.
